For two years, attorney Nathan Miller has served as a member of the Criminal Defense Lawyers Project, an undertaking that is designed to improve the competency and abilities of criminal defense lawyers throughout the state of Texas. CDLP takes a unique approach toward continuing legal education by including more participatory training, rather than the traditional lecture-based approach.
Attorney Miller was particularly excited following the recent 2015 Annual Meeting, during which he was introduced to the new Committee Chairperson, Jani Maselli Wood. He stated that he is particularly motivated by Attorney Wood’s plans, including the “excellent legal training planned for the smaller cities and towns in an effort to better serve the lawyers of more remote counties in our great State.”
About the CDLP
The Criminal Defense Lawyers Project is run by the Texas Criminal Defense Lawyers Association, an organization that is committed to helping their members provide the highest standard of legal counsel for their clients. CDLP is primarily designed to help lawyers in rural locations better serve their clients, as they may not have the same access to cutting-edge legal education and resources. Due to his experience and extensive knowledge, Attorney Miller was recently sworn in as a member of the Board of Directors for the TCDLA.
Committed to Providing Quality Counsel
Attorney Miller became a criminal defense lawyer to stand up for the rights of the accused. Since he can’t take on every single criminal case in the state personally, he chooses to share his prodigious legal knowledge with other attorneys in Texas.
